Role & Responsibilities

The Coordinator role within Visser Consulting is an intermediate level role that requires the incumbent to assist in the development and delivery of quality regulatory compliance solutions that meet our client and project specifications.  Coordinators must be able to work as a productive member of multiple project teams simultaneously. Coordinators report into a Senior Coordinator, Advisor, Senior Advisor or Senior Specialist and have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in the completion of projects using internal project management tools (@task), Microsoft word/excel and other resources as needed (internet searches, maps etc);
  • Communicate with co-workers and clients, effectively and professionally to obtain necessary information for project completion;
  • Complete assigned project tasks within project scope, parameters and time lines;
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve client needs;
  • Problem solving;
  • Document development;
  • Complete field inspections as required;
  • Assist all Visser team members with special projects and client management;

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • 5-10 years experience in a regulatory Oil & Gas role;
  • Demonstrated experience and a working knowledge of:
  • ERCB Measurement and Reporting related  Directives:
    • 47, 7, 17, MARP 42, 76;
    • 56, Manual O01;
    • Sag d, insitu process 23
    • Measurement, Accounting and Report knowledge;
  • Schematics metering diagrams;
  • British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan Regulations; Environment Canada;
  • Alberta Environment;
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated communication, reporting and team skills
  • Post Secondary education;
  • Oil and Gas industry experience;
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and flexible;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Ability to manage a wide range of work assignments and changing priorities;
  • Field experience is considered an asset;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Project management experience an asset;
  • Previous experience with ERCB’s EPAP program is considered an asset;
  • Safety tickets: WHIMIS, TDG,  H2S, First Aid are an asset;
  • Experience with Visio, MSWord, Outlook, Excel, data bases, data graphics programs, mapping tools, Beyond Compliance and project management software are considered assets.
